Our Mission
Wesley’s Place was established to serve as a loving memorial to keep the name and spirit of Wesley Mullins alive. Wesley’s Place will offer the community of Paris and Bourbon County a multi-purpose facility that will provide professional office space to other non-profit organizations, which will grant continual community support in Wesley’s honor.
The organizations mission is to create an office complex that can provide free space to other non-profit organizations that will serve the community of Central Kentucky. Currently, we have several organizations under consideration for using the space, but we are still open to organization inquiries.
We have had incredible community support behind this project. The original anonymous donor has provided funding to purchase all three properties and establish the organization. We also have over $50,000 in community pledges, primarily in donated services and materials towards the build. It is our goal to receive approximately $125,000 in community donations for the total build. The building will be approximately 3,000 sq/ft, single story, with six offices, a conference room, computer classroom, and functionally will allow two separate organizations to use the space (see attachment). The total cost of the building is estimated at around $325,000. We are in great need of approximately $200,000 in funding to build the facility. We are reaching out to the community to receive as much financial, material and volunteer support as possible. We are also seeking grant money and corporate sponsorship to help support the majority of the build fund.
We are seeking volunteers and donations for the build. Construction began in October and we expect the project to take approximately five months. Our goal is to have the facility ready to open in May 2009.
Thank you for your support.
